Special Morning Jam Sunday Dec 21

Since the jam space will not be available at the usual time on Sunday the 21st, Janine is hosting a morning jam from 10-11:30.  It'll be at our new usual space, SOMA.  Hope to see you there!

Next week, the 28th, we'll be back at our usual time, 2-4PM.

After much debate and investigation, we've decided to keep the jams at SOMA for now.  December's jams will be this Sunday the 7th and the 14th and 28th, at the usual time, 2-4PM.

I'd like to extend a special thanks to everyone who offered to participate in the subscription model by paying in advance, and to Cara, Stefanie, and Emily for their work to try to make that happen.  Sorry it didn't work out; we'll still be on the lookout for the perfect location.

November Jams

While we're figuring out if the subscription model will work to help us stay at the Phoenix Center, we will be meeting at SOMA,  218 N Fourth Ave, 48104, just to the left of the People's Food Coop.  There is an event that happens there every few weeks, so we will not have jams Nov 2nd or Nov 23rd.  We will jam at our usual time, 2-4PM on Nov 9th, 16th, and 30th.

Only two jams for October

We are going to be trying out new schedules and locations over the next few months, so please check back here before jams. In October we're going to meet only on the 5th and the 19th at our usual location at the Phoenix center. Can't wait to dance together!

Hey everyone, we're back on this week, and it looks like it might be rainy, so it's a perfect time for some indoor fun.  See you at the Phoenix Center at 2!

It seems that so many people are out of town that we should cancel tomorrow's jam. Don't worry I'll almost certainly be there next week. See you then!

Jam outside today

It looks like the rain will hold off until late tonight, and it'll be a cool 78 degrees this afternoon, so let's meet outside today!  It was a little tough to find parking or a shady spot at the arb 2 weeks ago, so this week we'll be at North Main Park, just 2 blocks up Fourth street from free parking near the People's Food Coop. There's also often parking on Fourth or Beakes street even closer. The park stretches between Fourth and Main and has plenty of shade. See you there at our usual time, 2-4!

Join us at the Detroit Jam, Feb 28–Mar 2, 2014 with Shel Wagner Rasch where will explore the theme of Dynamism.  

Dancers from a dozen states and provinces will cross-pollinate the dance floor with creativity and joyful spirit.
